A very good morning to you all.
As president of our club I get all sorts of wonderful experiences. I get to hear all the awesome ideas of our club members, I get updates about regional, national and international Rotary projects and so much more.
Last week a local mom tracked me down and had nothing but wonderful feedback about our Rotary Day in December. From the moment she walked in with 4 children and was greeted with a smile by one of the volunteers asking if they could help her – to when she left with her heart full of thankfulness. As a thank you to our club, she delivered the attached items and card. Moments like these are awesome. You are all doing amazing things and I am thankful to be part of such an incredible organization.
Last week’s Rotary meeting was nothing less than epic. When I left the building Friday one of our club legends commented “That was the one of our better speakers in a LONG time”. A special thanks for Oregon State University women’s volleyball coach Taras Liskevych for bringing “IT” If you missed it or would like to see it again, visit our facebook page and the Youtube video is there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RotaryClubofGreaterCorvallis/
This coming week, Friday the 30th, we have Jim Coonan from the regional accelerator and Innovation Network (RAIN). We also have a new member vocation from Stephanie Douglas. It will be another awesome Friday at Rotary. Remember – guests get treated to lunch on the club. If you wanted to do just one thing this week to change someone’s life for the better, and for Rotary, invite someone to join you for lunch on Friday. You may just change their life forever as Doug Oxsen did for me when he invited me to Rotary on a random day back in 2003.
One reminder: Gerry is leading a group to the Rotary Membership Rally on February 7th in Roseburg. This is a great way to learn more about Rotary and why membership is the backbone of Rotary. For more information: drgerryk@gmail.com
If you have any Rotary announcements, please let me and Ben know and we will work to make sure everyone know.
Make it a great week and let me know if you need anything at all.
