2/6/2015: President Lee's Weekly Message

Another Big win for the Beavs today. The men’s basketball team is now 14-0 at home – the first time in OSU means basketball history. Amazing! We may need to start getting some game predictions for basketball!

This past Friday was AWESOME at Rotary. Thanks to all who filled the room.

Congratulations to Inge King and Ken Robblee on your Paul Harris awards. The Rotary Foundation is a crucial part of Rotary and everyone’s continued support is appreciated. Thanks to Ted and Don for keeping our first Friday of the month fun with singing and cake. We can all thank Lorena Reynolds for “Cake Day” Also, thanks to Liz Carle for leading the efforts this weekend for the middle school essay contest. I am sure we are in for a treat on the 20th of this month to hear many of them.

This coming Friday – February the 13th we are being encouraged to PACK THE HOUSE!!! Our new mayor, and Rotarian, Biff Traber, will be giving his State of the City talk at our club. Please plan to come and bring a guest! It is hard to get a good guess on how many people will be there – but if you know you are coming and plan to bring a guest – please let me know by 5:00 on Tuesday of this week. This was we can plan accordingly to make sure everyone get’s a seat and a good meal. Remember – guest lunches are on our club!

It is possible we will be having some additional fun on Friday – you will not want to miss out! We also have another new member vocational this coming Friday.

As a reminder – keep your ears and eyes open for more information and sign-ups from Jeff Davis for our club visioning process. It is happening on February 18th. We need you involved!!
Finally – our major fundraising meeting went well. More details will be delivered this week. Know we are planning a really fun evening in August!!

Make it a great week and let me know if you need anything.

Sincerely,
Lee Eckroth
