Greetings! I am writing this week with a request for a favor in lieu of our Rotary Recap.
Mike Sheets and Al Hutchinson are completing their work on our history archive. The problem is they have not received a lot of info, pictures, etc from all of us (me included). As I was the lead on the Rotary Shelter I will be bringing Mike on Friday a CD with all the images from the project.
We need your help. Can you please take some time, reach into your memory and memory boxes and either send to Mike and Al, or bring on Friday, any pictures you may have from the history of our club or email them any stories? Do you have a project you were involved with? Take a moment to jot down the story and the experience. Whether you have pictures or just memories – we need them.
Past Presidents – reach into your memory of your year and send your projects and experiences. We can them get new pictures of the projects if needed. Anything you can provide or remember is needed.
This project is one of the goals our club set this year and as we come to the end of this year – it is a goal we really want to accomplish. Once we have an archive, we can keep building on it. First and foremost, we are going to use the pictures to create a club history video and we have big plans for this video. If we get enough history, I promise you this video will be awesome 🙂
So, today I am asking for your help. Whether you have an individual photo or photos, group photos, party photos, service project photos, conference photos and more – we need them!!! If you have just stories or memoris of Rotary events or projects, send them. We are creating both a photo record and written record. Everything counts.
Please contact Mike sheets at 541-602-1279 / mwsheets1@gmail.com or Al Hutchinson at 541-740-4140 / alhutch@peak.org or me, Lee Eckroth, at 541-760-4742 / Lee@Talk2Lee.com
I know your life is busy – but this would mean a lot to your club and to our future.
Thanks. Let me know of any questions or clarifications, but please know – this is very important and anything you can provide would be helpful.
