The annual Pastega Holiday Lights, selected the second best Holiday display in the state of Oregon recently, is open to the public and will run nightly from 5 pm until 10 pm through January 1, 2017 at the Benton County Fairgrounds, it was announced by the coordinating Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis. The Rotary Children’s Holiday Craft Fair is also scheduled for the Fairgrounds Saturday, December 17 from 11am until 3 pm. This is also a free event but children do need to register online for the event. Click here to register.
The admission to this incredible tradition light show is free, however donations of food for local food shares will be accepted. The winding drive-through path of holiday and cartoon figures commences in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds main parking lot just off Reservoir Road in Corvallis. The annual lights started at the former Pastega Pepsi plant for several decades and relocated to the fairgrounds in 2014.
The light show was recently selected as the second ranked Holiday light display in Oregon by onlyinyourstate.com (click here to see the award.)
Every child will receive three tickets to make a craft, cookies and a picture with Santa. Some of the activities featured are creating stuffed animals, gingerbread houses, swags, various ornaments and “shrinky-dinks.” There will also be a story reading corner.
