Kalmar Selected; Rotarians a Presence at Leadership Corvallis


Fresh from travel back from the Rotary International Convention in Seoul, South Korea, Mark Kalmar was selected for the meritorious Hans Neukomm service award at Leadership Corvallis Graduation ceremony for 2016. Kalmar had landed in Eugene from Seoul at 6:30 p.m. and was at the Corvallis Country Club to receive his recognition one hour later.

Kalmar, the chief administrator for Corvallis Radiology, is the Membership Chair and president elect nominee for Greater Corvallis Rotary. Active in many community service projects, he was a board members and recruiting chair for Leadership Corvallis, as well as a member of Young Life and coach in the Future Spartans basketball program.

In addition to Kalmar, many Greater Corvallis Rotarians played a role at the graduation ceremony, including keynote speaker Julie Manning (class of 1993); 2016 graduates Tiffany Bailey and Tammy Morrison; Hans Neukomm Award present Mike Corwin (class of 1999); board members Andrea Thornberry (class of 2006) and Ron Thiesen (class of 2012); and advisory, committee, and alumni representatives Judy Corwin (class of 1999), Jennifer Moore (class of 2008); Helen Higgins (class of 2008); Susan Poole (class of 1994); Amy Juaron (class of 2015);
