Rotarian Larry Symonds coordinated the Greater Corvallis Rotary Club’s 4-Way Speech Contest, where the winner received $200, with $100 to second place, and $50 to third place. Colleen Corrigan of CHS won the event with her speech on “Community Service Requirements for High School Students. Clark Shimeall (CHS), presented a second-place speech that applied the 4-Way Test to “Stop & Frisk laws”; and, Jacob Cotterell (CVHS), presented “The Fairness of Homework” for third place. Colleen will represent our club at the District 5110 4-Way Test Speech Contest and the chance at a $2,000 prize.
